The 2021 Finals at Jay Peak are happening!
Registration is now officially closed for the 2021 Finals.
Due to the Vermont state Covid restrictions to the number of racers we can have at the top of the racecourse at any given time (25), we have decided in order to get the greatest number of racers we need to implement race times based on “pods/bubbles.” Pods/bubbles are folks that live together, travel together and/or work together. For our returning Finals racers, this provides an opportunity to race with your family members, making fewer trips to the start of the racecourse. Each racer is still competing against their appropriate age category. [Age categories are as follows: 1-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-20, 21-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95+.] We’ll let you know your scheduled race times prior to arrival at Jay Peak and will have them available onsite and online as well.
Parents of younger racers who may need help on the race course are encouraged to return to the start after their child races in order to be able to “race their own race.” Please be aware that IF there are 25 racers in the “Start Area” that you may need to wait a bit to enter the start area for your run. There will be time available after 2:00pm for you to do that as well OR towards the end of each time slot.
BIBS & LIFT TICKETS
We will not be accepting any registrations the day of the event. If you are staying at Jay Peak Resort, you’ll receive your racer bib, lift ticket and start information when you check in for your lodging. If you are not staying at the resort, you’ll be picking up your racer bib and lift ticket at the Vertical Challenge Registration Tent on Saturday morning. Please be sure to be there early enough so that you do not miss your start time.
Spectators are allowed, but must be masked and socially distant from fellow onlookers. Jay Peak’s Onsite Wellness staff will help manage this.
Please remember that each pod has a particular time to race at the Finals, and you MUST be at the top of the racecourse for your pod’s start time.
LIFT TICKETS FOR SATURDAY (ONLY)
These will be given to racers when they receive their race bibs. The free tickets will be reserved for those who earned a spot in the 2020 Finals, and for those who would have earned a 2021 slot under our normal qualification rules. Those include the top three finishers in each event category at any 2021 VC tour stop.
Discounted lift tickets for other people and days can be purchased by bringing the competitor’s jersey/bib to the Ticket Window. Adult: $64.00, Junior (age 6 to 18): $52.00, Under 5: $20.00

Please be aware that Vermont still has quarantine requirements for many out-of-state visitors. Click here to know before you go and be aware that you’ll have to sign off on the State of Vermont’s Travel Safe policy. It is not as simple as just driving up for the day – you need to plan ahead before heading to Jay Peak. Once on-site, face masks covering your mouth and nose are required in all public areas, like on the race course, inside the base lodges, and in the lift load/unload areas. You will be asked to provide some personal data, only to be used for contract tracing purposes should it become necessary. We can’t pull this event off without you, and we need your help adhering to Vermont’s requirements.
