Like we said in the title of this post, congratulations to all of you! We just concluded a fun season with a marvelous finals. If you remember, and weโre sure you do, at this time last year we werenโt sure it could be done.
So first, congratulations to all our racers. Have you watched the virtual awards ceremony for the finals (sponsored by bubly) yet? If not, check out the video on Facebook or YouTube โ itโs fun and if you or your kids won a medal, youโll want to hear those names read aloud. Plus thereโs a cute dog photo with a great story! Everybody who participated in the events this year was so helpful keeping us compliant with the necessary health protocols โ couldnโt have done it without you.
Congrats to Jay Peak and the other resorts who stepped up to hold events this year โ Pats Peak, Lost Valley, Nashoba Valley, Catamount, Black Mountain (NH), and Berkshire East. We were on a LOT of calls figuring out how to hold events safely and they went above and beyond.
Congratulations and thank you to our sponsors! They all stepped up and participated even though we had no guarantees for them. Chevrolet, Xfinity, Thule, Northeast Delta Dental, Stonyfield, bubly, SHRED DOG โ they all truly care about the program and without them there literally would not be a Vertical Challenge.
And certainly weโd like to congratulate our staff and crew. We imposed many extra burdens on them this year, including getting tested before every event and finding ways to bring the normal VC energy while also keeping everyone safe. They came through brilliantly!
