VC FINALS
REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION

The 2025 Vertical Challenge Finals take place at Jay Peak on April 12th! Anyone who won a medal at a previous VC tour stop this season is eligible to compete! Follow the links below for details. Please note that there are a couple of changes from last year, so read through it all even if you have been before. Feel free to email us at [email protected] with any questions. And follow us on social media (Facebook, X, Instagram) for further updates.

As in past years, the top three finishers in each category at each VC regular tour event automatically qualify for the finals, along with current and past recipients of some of our conduct-based awards for young racers (like Chewy Dogs). If one or more of the top three finishers in a race had previously qualified at an earlier tour stop, finishers in fourth (and lower) positions will move up, with a maximum of three qualifiers per category per tour stop in any case.

Registration will open March 17 and close on April 4th. We’ll provide a link on this page at that time.

PODS

We’ll once again hold the races on the Interstate Trail and time slots will again be grouped based on “pods/bubbles.” Pods/bubbles are folks that live together, travel together and/or work together. Racers will still be competing in their own appropriate age categories, but this system makes it easier for you to plan your day (because Jay Peak has tons of fun things to do along with our VC festivities). We’ll let you know your scheduled race times prior to arrival at Jay Peak and will have them available onsite as well.

Parents of younger racers who may need help on the course are encouraged to return to the start after their child races so they can race their own races.

Please remember that each pod has a particular time to race at the Finals, and you MUST be at the top of the racecourse for your pod’s start time.

BIBS & LIFT TICKETS

Here’s how to sign up for the 2025 Vertical Challenge Finals and secure discounted lift tickets!

Finals competitors will receive a free lift ticket for Saturday IF they stay onsite at Jay Peak at least one night of the weekend. Lift tickets for Finals competitors staying offsite will cost $30 each. Discounts are in place if competitors and those traveling with them want to buy lift tickets for other days.

VC Race Competitor lift tickets for Saturday are comped for racers staying onsite.

Anyone lodging at Jay Peak will have lift tickets and/or waterpark tickets included with their stay, depending on which package they choose:

Ski/Ride Vacation: includes lift tickets, valid the day following check-in.

Indoor Waterpark Vacation: includes access to the Pump House Indoor Waterpark, beginning the day following check-in.

Ski/Ride & Indoor Waterpark Vacation: includes both lift tickets and waterpark access, beginning the day following check-in.

Other competitors can purchase Saturday lift tickets at the deeply discounted rate of $30.00 per ticket. We also have discounts in place for other days that weekend and others in your party, plus water park discounts. To redeem them, pick up your bib from the VC check-in tables in the International Room between 4PM and 8PM on Friday. To redeem lift ticket discounts, bring the competitor’s bib to the Tramside Guest Services Office. To redeem waterpark ticket discounts, bring the competitor’s bib to the Pump House Guest Services Desk.

SPECIAL NOTES

Anyone who has a Dewey Bear or Chewy Dog husky stuffed animal you’ve received from the VC over the years should bring them to the Finals. We do a raffle just for this special group for a chance to win either a 5’ and 6’ stuffed polar bear.

If you did a charity fundraiser through your school, team, civic group or otherwise this year, we’d love for you officially present the funds during our awards presentation on the Aroma Patio on Tramside. Immediately thereafter we’ll award raffle prizes.
